Steven De La Cruz
I spent a good chunk of my life playing music professionally in musicals across the Tri-State area. I built a business around teaching and performing, and after a few years time I decided to pack my bags and head west to Los Angeles.
LA is where I started writing music for film and mixed media projects while doing freelance work with local businesses. In 2018 I joined Ridge as the first employee and helped scale the company from the ground up to over $50M in annual revenue. As their HR director I built systems, led teams, and learned what it takes to grow a business fast.
After that chapter, I went all in on making things with my hands. I founded Main Home Goods, a zero-waste woodshop where I designed and built products like the first fully wooden MagSafe charger. Around the same time I co-founded Makeplus, a makerspace and fabrication shop, where I ran daily operations, managed a team, and built the systems that kept everything running. Those years taught me how to bridge physical work with the digital tools that support it.
Right now I’m at Cozey, where I built their internal AI system and have since shifted into building out their shipping and logistics operations for new markets. I bring the same hands-on approach I developed running a makerspace and shop – I like jumping into whatever needs to get built, whether that’s deep technical work or hands-on operational problems.
